Marathon Schedule

Hello everyone! We are Retro Raisers a new charity streaming group dedicated to raising money for various charities. My name is PhilthyTurtle and I am the project coordinator for Retro Raisers. I am writing this today seeking out anyone who would be interested in a charity marathon we will be holding at twitch.tv/retroraisers on June 26-28, 2015. We are currently looking for anyone who would be interested in streaming be it casual or speed run! Our plan is to have a large block of various races and also multiple multiplayer game blocks to interact with viewers.

The charity we plan to raise money for is one that is very near and dear to me. For those that do not know, I take care of many turtles, I rehab them and rescue them as well as breed them. From this I have met some wonderful people, two of which (Luke and Christy) happen to be the owners of the Central MS Turtle Rescue. The Central MS Turtle Rescue is home-based rescue and rehabilitation facility for turtles and tortoises, owned and managed by Luke and Christy Milbourne, acting under state permit from the MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. Since their creation in 2013, expenses (including food, supplies, facilities, utilities, equipment, and vet care) have been financed solely from their personal income. Now both Luke and Christy have been there helping and supporting not only me but many other people with turtle related issues. I started this to give back to them as they are so deserving. They have taken care of turtles that have been shot, ran over and even some that lived in pizza boxes. The turtles and tortoises they rescue and care for are still dependent on them for their daily needs and medical care.

Throughout the marathon we will be having a bot that will allow you to bet on the speed runners racing! Points can be used to exchange for raffle entries throughout the marathon (games, perlers, etc.) As the marathon comes closer, more details will be released!
